Instructor Charlie Olszewski will focus on Windows (win10 and win11) computers though some of this applies to more than Windows computers (e.g. passwords). Charlie will provide tips on passwords, security questions and will explain how to create & why you may want to create your own password manager.
He will provide information on updating Microsoft Windows (configure: update delays, active hours, determine last updates), update other software too. Basic skills such as How to determine how much RAM is installed, how much disk space is available, what the microprocessor “speed” (Mhz) is, version of Microsoft Office, etc. (Information needed when purchasing software or requesting help to fix problems on your computer). Also working with Zip files, Recycle Bin, PDF files, etc. Preparing for a disaster (ransomware attack, hard drive failure, etc.).
