Mental Health Awareness – Kinship Speaker Series

Please join us on Friday, Sept. 8 for our next Kinship Speaker Series where we will learn about services offered at Riverwood Center and the imporatance of mental health.

Mental Health impacts individuals in our community on varying levels. Experiences can be either direct or indirect through our work, family life, social network, school, what we see in the media, or what we read in the news. Promoting mental health in our community is essential in reducing negative stigma related to seeking out mental health treatment, building resiliency, and supporting the improvement of overall wellbeing.

Riverwood Center offers a variety of services. Part of our job as your community mental health provider is to educate individuals on the resources we have, encourage residents to seek out support and acknowledge that they are not alone in expe­riencing mental health struggles.
